Selectism.com

HighSnobiety – and the other streetwear blogs – are easily criticised for simply being a hosting point for almost any verbatim press release from the world of street fashion. Whether because I’ve grown bored, or because I’ve grown up, I’m increasingly frustrated by how streetwear / fashion reporting is rather generic, and not particularly interesting anymore.

Styles certainly change though, and anyone following our tastes in fashion on TheScrapBook will notice how we tend to spread out coverage of “casual” “street” and “smart” styles.

Selectism.com is a blog from the HighSnobiety stable (itself now of the Complex stable). It’s fairly new to me, but on first look it’s positive. Cricital, with a point of view, the writing is better as a result. It’s a good spot to check releases from the more unusual suspects, shall we say.

Thanks for the kind words on Selectism. For the record, Highsnobiety is not part of Complex. They simply use Complex for their ad sales. Selectism and Highsnobiety are 100% independent media under the Titel Media umbrella.
    Thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words on Selectism. Just to clear one thing up, none of the sites is owned by Complex. Complex only does the ad sales for Highsnobiety, that’s all. Both Highsnobiety.com and Selectism.com are owned by Titel Media, the original founders.
