The new Beijing Olympic Pictograms reminded me that there’s a load of really really nice images over at the Otl Aicher pool on flickr. Otl pictograms from the 72 munich olympics are the ones above obviously…

    one of the most important graphic deisgners of the 20th century. his major contributions to the ‘canon of graphic deisgn’ were the branding for the olympics, the Rotis font, branding for lufthansa – information & wayfinding graphics as well as poster deisgn, and later as a designer for bulthaup. he co-founded the Ulm design school too.
