The nominees for the respected Mercury Music Prize have been announced. Burial deserves it the most. No doubt.

But what? No M.I.A… Portishead…?

Haven’t got round to listening to Portishead, but I’ve heard good things. I’d also say that Paul Weller’s latest deserves to be in there (unless it was released too recently), but my money would have to be on Radiohead – such a piece of work.

My sister had this to say over on my FB profile wall:

Hey. You know Portico Quartet who are up for the mecury music prize..they went to SOAS and they used to keep me up all night playing in the courtyard at halls (so fucking annoying). And the drummer was in my music class when I started there doing music. Pretty cool eh? Anyhoo, that’s my claim to fame over… x

I thought that you’d given up on Portishead? And Paul Weller? REALLY??!!
