Loving Kutiman’s work, thru-you. Posted up in the BBHLabs twitter feed, Kutiman has taken the idea of mash-ups to a place that may not be new, but is still fresh.
Mixing up videos found on YouTube of amateur musicians (i.e: they’re not famous, don’t think that these guys are “amateur” in their skills) he’s mashed them up and created his own album of thoroughly modern, international music: Arabic breakbeat, swamp dub, balearic hip hop, and dirty orchestral synth.
