From My Cold Dead Hands

From My Cold Dead Hands is my first mix album posted online. Inspired by Dark Side of the Mood, I’ve put together a collection that includes Zombie Zombie, Giorgio Moroder, The Emperor Machine, Wooden Shjips, Map of Africa, and John Carpenter to create a surreal 80′s synth horror soundtrack to a film that should never be made.

If you want more in that vein, I recommend the following mixes: Arctic Beach and Quiet Village‘s “Fragments of Fear Drowned in Blood”, volumes 1 and volume 2

Find more crazy cold electro-synth at Simply Good Music and ValerieCherie, but also read this article at The Guardian about cosmic disco and why this type of music is having a resurgeance.

Download TheScrapBook‘s own From My Cold Dead Hands here. (If it’s not in the right order on your playlist, don’t panic, just hit shuffle for your very own alterna-soundtrack.)
