Two great websites that deserve to be here on TheScrapBook. Play with them yourself to appreciate what they’re all about!

I’m not late on this, I just thought that someone should post it up. The Uniclock is lovely, charming, and vaguely useful. The music is great too!

Sublime or ridiculous? Whatever, there certainly isn’t anything that beats a hand finished touch to your denim. It’s all very well Levi’s producing decent replica Big E jeans, but the quality of those has dropped significantly over the last few years as machines have tried to replicate the ageing details. APC have rectified this “problem” with their Butler Worn Out jeans, properly worn through by real people, I’d imagine each pair to be rather individual and probably very well detailed. Hopefully they’ll have been dry cleaned though.

Is everything going to be OK and other brilliant mini sites from Converse. Check them all out, but they includes the infamous Kissing with Ross and the surreal At least you’re not lost at sea. Out of your league girl is fairly amusing for singles, and Chucks In Soda might replicate the Diet Coke and Mentos experiments, we’ll see. Funny, short, sharp and nicely viral. Try it with Kissing with Ross… actually, don’t. Check out the whole list of sites here

Possibly made by Anomaly NYC. Whut.

Nice article and photo selection of Norman Foster and Partners’ Elephant Enclosure at Copenhagen Zoo from The Guardian. The photos compare some other Zoo architecture, but specifically the consideration for building this £25m Elephant House and the learnings that were undertaken.

“The Elephant House represents the latest thinking in elephant welfare. Those two glass-domed enclosures - one measuring 45 by 23 metres, for six cows and calves; the other 30 by 15 metres, for two bulls kept in separate pens during the mating season for fear of fights - open out through mighty rusted steel doors into a landscaped paddock where the animals can roll and play, meet their public and take a dip in a pool three metres deep that extends 60 metres along one side…The Elephant House covers approximately 10% of the entire zoo site: elephants need to roam.”

There are some great Zoo facts too. Did you know the giraffe house at London Zoo was built in 1836-7?

Yarisa Kublitz has created an interactive passive aggressive art piece. The “Anger Release Machine” encourages you to vent your anger. Put your coins into the vending machine, out comes a cute china kitten or delicate tea pot that comes off its rail and smashes onto the machine’s metal base. Smashing!
