Augmented Reality

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Iain Tait’s got a load of really very interesting Augment Reality toys to play with. Not sure how useful most of them are, but hey it’s all interesting stuff. I mean, whilst it’s cool to have a video play on a piece of paper that you’re holding, why not just use YouTube? The above video is my favourite though – I still imagine a running man leaping over cars, hedges and building gaps as I sit in the passenger seat, so this is a perfect evolution of that!

As this video goes to prove, Playstation’s EyeToy has been promoting Augmented Reality games rather nicely for some time though. And that’s a nice example of Douglas Adams’ quote about “technology is the name we give to things we dont understand yet”.
