Random Thought About The World (“Digital Catharsis”?)

I didnt know where to capture this emerging thought, so I’m putting it here. Please add comments or thoughts if you’ve got any and help me see if there is a pattern! I’ve been a big fan of Post Secret for a long time now and have thought about the voyeuristic pleasures in seeing [...]

Selectism.com

HighSnobiety – and the other streetwear blogs – are easily criticised for simply being a hosting point for almost any verbatim press release from the world of street fashion. Whether because I’ve grown bored, or because I’ve grown up, I’m increasingly frustrated by how streetwear / fashion reporting is rather generic, and not particularly interesting [...]

Again, a clever and more ecologically friendly product.   View the rest of the 2008 Muji Awards [...]

Recycling with Wine Design

Grupo Hera, a Spanish waste management and consulting firm commissioned a sustainably designed cava gift box from Ciclus with the theme of turning waste into resources. This wine bottle package turns into a lamp with the small addition of a light bulb. I’m not sure that including the electrical components for the light with the [...]

Lange Production Re-Introduces Chair by Grete Jalk

Grete Jalk’s 1963 chair was originally only produced in a batch of 300 and won first prize in a furniture competition sponsored by the Daily Mirror newspaper (wierd, but true). Now, Lange Production in Copenhagen is re-introducing her molded plywood chair and matching nesting tables in their original wood species, Teak and Oregon Pine.
