Fleshmap is a really interesting visual representation of desire – be that the number of mentions of parts of the human body in various musical genres, or “areas that liked to be touched” compared with “areas that you like to touch”. They break it down into areas of “Touch”, “Look” and “Listen”.
Fleshmap is an inquiry into [...]

Nas And Green Lantern – Nigger MixTape
Nas’ rhymes have almost always been on point, but like Jay-Z his beats have been massively dissapointed me. Many people, in fact. The Nigger MixTape by Green Lantern is a better way to listen to the latest Nas album than the released (“Untitled”) version.
Download the Green Lantern and Nas mixtape here.

Fist Of Fun

I’m pretty sure they don’t make good comedy sketch shows anymore do they?
Fist of Fun was written by lee and Herring, and in my opinion was one of the best and forgotten about shows ever to grace our screens.
Enjoy!

Animatus – Hyungkoo Lee
Animatus is an exhibition of reconstructions of 3D skeletons of classic cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Tom & Jerry and Donald Duck. Anatomical drawings? A bit odd, but I like it.

MUST SEE – Repo Man
Rubbish weather = film weather, and seeing as the rain is forcing us to stay in, what better way of spending an evening than a decent film!
So, i’ll start the ball rolling, and i’ve started a new category called ‘must see’, so we can all share film tips.
I’ll commence with the classic ‘Repo man‘ [...]

Exploding Whale
This is a little bit older, but a brilliant bit of reasoning by the kiwi’s – disposing of a stranded eight ton dead stinking whale which can not be burried or cut up: easy, blow it up and “let the scavengers, seagulls, crabs and what-not can clean it up”.
You need to a flashplayer enabled browser [...]

Evolution of the #1 Foam Hand
DesignBoom has a nice article about the design and evolution of the #1 Foam Hand, made by Geral Fauss, one of the most popular pieces of US sports merchandising.
‘I saw the students in the stands holding up an index finger, and shouting ‘we’re number 1′ at the playoff games… Students rallied around the team [...]

Drum’n'Bass, where did it all go wrong?
You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video
Breaksblog looks like an awesome resource for free Drum’n'Bass, but most particularly it’s an opportunity for me to relive my youth.
The first club I ever went to was Blue Note for the Sunday night MetalHeadz sessions. I used to rock a suit and glasses [...]
