My Last Polaroid

MyLastPolaroid is a site dedicated to documenting the last polaroids that people will take since the film has been withdrawn from circulation. The final batches of Polaroid film pass their expiry date on September 30 2009. When these supplies either spoil or run out, the world will lose something special. These are the last days of physical, tangible instant images.

Get your last polaroid film at Urban Outfitters from this weekend – they’ve got 700 hand-numbered deadstock Polaroid camera kits globally for sale. (I believe though that The Impossible Project purchased all the machinery and equipment at Polaroid’s Dutch factory to bring back Instant Film in 2010, so all’s not exactly lost… just it no longer produced by the original manufacturer)
